Sunday Funday - The Trinity Trails & Clearfork

It was such a beautiful day today that I decided to leave the pup at home and hit The Trinity Trails solo so I could focus on some photography and whatever else I decided to get up to.

So I loaded my beloved REI hydration backpack up with a book, some snacks, 3 bottles of water, and my credit card. I threw on a hat, glasses, put the earbuds on high and hit the trail!

The animals were certainly out on this first day of the Spring Equinox & start of the astrological new year so I was able to get some decent shots of them just doing their thing.

Somehow I made it over to Clearfork and into Kendra Scott... who happened to be having a BOGO 50% off sale... weird how that worked out! And somehow items made it to the counter and now I have a little yellow bag to stuff inside my backpack. I guess shit happens. Then it was to Malai Kitchen for some lunch and a beverage to power me back home. Lunch was their Shrimp Spring Rolls and a Hanoi Highball. All delish, per the usual from Malai.

It's always amusing to me to see cows in a pasture in the middle of the city. Doesn't get old. I was super disappointed I didn't have my video pulled up for the apparent turtle nesting ground near my apartment, because seeing 30+ turtles scurry off the river's edge in unison would have made a nice little video. Now I know. And knowing is half the battle.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty tired and sweaty now. I didn't realize it at the time because it was such a beautiful day and there was so much to see. I feel it now though! I was pretty flushed when I got back... but what a nice glow it created! LOL

I love the convenience of hopping on the trails from my apartment. Being able to walk to shops and restaurants, all while still having nature under your feet and in within your view. I know this is something I'll look back on fondly when I think of this moment in time, where I am at currently, and I'll appreciate it - even though where I'll be then will probably be just as wonderful.

Alright y'all... get outside and go do big things!
